Dr. Joseph Roberson
Joseph Roberson was born at the Indiana farm home of his parents. Christian
values and faith were important elements in the Roberson home
during Joseph's childhood, and are key components in the way he lives and works
today. Married since 1972, he and his wife have four children and two grandchildren, and reside in Peoria, Arizona. He is active in his community and attends Trinity Bible Church with his family.
He received a B.S. Degree in Education in 1976, and a M.S. Degree in Education in 1979, and worked in Indiana public school
settings as a teacher and school counselor between 1976 and 1981. From 1981 through the summer of 1983 Joseph attended the Indiana University Graduate School in Bloomington, Indiana. While working on his doctorate, he served as Clinic Coordinator at the Institute for Child Study, a multidisciplinary clinc. Training specialties at Indiana University were in school psychology, counseling, and clinical practice. Dissertation research was on Gender Schema Theory as a Factor in Children's Expressive Writing, and in 1989 Joseph received a Doctor of Philosophy
Degree in Educational Psychology from Indiana University. Professional training is ongoing.
Dr. Roberson is licensed by the Arizona State
Board of Psychologist Examiners, and he is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. He is a member of the Society for Christian Psychology and the National Association of School Psychologists. He opened a private practice in 1991. Dr. Roberson's
specialties are in individual and family psychological services.
